Meet the Officers of the Collective!

Shannon, President

Shannon had a vision to bring together photographers and other professionals to create opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have. That vision was brought to life in the Tartesso Photography Collective. She wants everyone with a desire to learn photography or to build their portfolio to have that chance to do so conveniently and affordably!

Shannon is no stranger to organizing large groups or offering instruction. She helped found the Glendale Photo Club in 2018, has served as a volunteer instructor for all age groups within her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for over seven years, and operated her own wedding and portrait photography business for five years. She is a happy wife to a good man, proud mother of three sweet kiddos, and a friend to all.

Shannon’s own journey with photography began as a mild interest in high school and grew into a fevered hobby after obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Project Management. When a friend asked her to shoot their wedding, she just couldn’t resist, and has been hooked ever since!

In the Fall of 2021, Shannon closed her business in favor of other creative pursuits. Which still includes the occasional styled shoot.

Shannon specialized in wedding photography, branding/products, and adult/teen portraiture during her business years. She loves showing others how to achieve the same results themselves!

Christina, Vice President

Christina’s primary function within the Collective is to help coordinate all the behind-the-scenes magic that helps us grow. She had the wherewithal to file the TPC as an official nonprofit organization and to partner up with big names like Panda Express to run our fundraisers. She makes sure this Collective has what it takes to last for years to come.

Christina spent most of her teen years growing up in Tartesso. As an adult, she moved back here with her little family of three in August 2019. She began practicing photography in 2012 and started her business in 2020.

Christina prefers shooting outdoors in natural light, but also enjoys the creative freedom of shooting in-studio with backdrops and props. Her style leans towards true-to-color and light.

Photography has always been a passion of hers, and she loves the growth and progress she sees with each session. She loves being able to freeze precious moments in time for others to cherish for a lifetime!

Christina specializes in maternity, couples, and seasonal mini sessions with backdrops portraiture photography.

Alicia, Event Planner

Alicia is a mother, photographer, teacher, home and body shop co-owner, and proud officer of the TPC.

In September of 2021 she turned her passion for photography into a business! She started with her family (her son being her favorite model) until she grew confident and ventured into the world.

She was inspired by the Tartesso Photography Collective and loves empowering others and embracing natural beauty. She hopes to bring her vision to life for everyone who steps in front of her camera to see the beauty in themselves that she sees with the help of her handy lens.

Alicia helps plan and coordinate our styled shoots, workshops, and official TPC meetups, amongst other things! She really loves to lend a helping hand wherever she can.

Selina, Social Media

Selina is in charge of making sure we look good on our social platforms.

Which makes sense, since she’s an incredibly talented makeup artist! She has always been passionate about art and one of the most exquisite expressions of artistic makeup. She first discovered her passion (2016) after ending her journey in media arts and animation and decided it was much more fun to have her characters on paper come to life.

She specializes in creative makeup and loves to create characters of fantasy and those of the dark side. She is available for various on-site make-up needs, including bridal and wedding parties, special occasions and photo shoots.

She’s always quick to offer a smile and a helping hand. We are so grateful to have her!
